KOMIYAMA TOKYO G is now holding the poster exhibition “Enlarge vol.2.” This show presents original vintage posters from ‘60s selected by our bookstore’s archive. Please enjoy the traces of geniuses who designed from business ad to exhibition posters. Whatever the types are, posters have overwhelming presence as they reflect the energy of the times and have a strong purpose as advertisements. Visual designs and sophisticated catchphrases that instantly catch the eye, create a unique expression whereas holding the all information needed. Due to the nature of posters being consumed in a short period of time, it is rare to be preserved in beautiful condition and collectors who cherish the works are essential to the exhibition. We sincerely hope that “Enlarge” will lead a new expansion of artistry to the future.

"Enlarge Vol.2"
写真集、雑誌、漫画、浮世絵など印刷文化が豊かな日本においても、ポスターは広告としての用途や目的がある中で時代のエネルギーを反映し、圧倒的な存在感を放っています。イメージの中には、写真家やアーティストによるビジュアルと洗練されたキャッチコピーなど、瞬間的に目を引く要素が詰め込まれており、ポスター特有の表現が成されていることがわかります。短期間で消耗される性質上、美しい状態で保存される事自体が本来珍しく、本展の開催にはポスターを作品として愛するコレクターの存在も欠かせません。"Enlarge Vol.2" では、ポスターの芸術性が、未来に繋がる新しい拡がり / Enlarge をみせていくことを目指しています。
