KOMIYAMA TOKYO G is pleased to present a solo exhibition by Shinichi Sugaya, opening on Friday, January 16th 2026.
Alongside the powerful colors expressed in his works last year, Sugaya’s fourth exhibition at our gallery brings forward gentle pieces that illuminate small moments from everyday life. 
Colors with cut-paper-like contours, faint ink lines, and canvases depict flowers, birds, and skulls placed side by side, vividly expressing Sugaya’s distinctly neutral and expansive artistic world.
The exhibition will also feature three-dimensional works and paintings created as music visuals for the rock band The Cro-Magnons.

PROFILE
Shinichi Sugaya is a graphic artist known for designing music covers of Japanese rock bands “THE CRO-MAGNONS” and “OKAMOTO’s”. Paintings, sculptures and photography adopted to music visuals are all made by himself that his variety of techniques and expression is a key of his firm reliability by the musicians. At Komiyama Tokyo G, he deepens and discover the further outlook of his creativity.





KOMIYAMA TOKYO Gでは、菅谷晋一による個展を開催いたします。
４回目となる本展では、昨年表現された力強い色彩に加え、日々の小さな出来事を照らす穏やかな作品が際立ちます。切り絵のような輪郭をまとった色や、かすれたインクの線、希望に満ちたキャンバスには、花や鳥、スカルなどが並列に描かれ、どこまでもニュートラルな菅谷の作品世界が色濃く表現されています。
会場では、ロックバンド「ザ・クロマニヨンズ」のミュージックビジュアルとして製作した立体作品や絵画も展示いたします。菅谷晋一による新しい作品群と共に、ぜひご高覧ください。

菅谷晋一プロフィール
ロックバンド「ザ・クロマニヨンズ」や「OKAMOTO’S」などのレコードジャケットを手掛ける他、8ミリフイルムの映像製作や映画監督としても活動。ビジュアルに用いる絵画、彫刻などを自ら製作し、撮影、レイアウトまで一人で担うストイックで仕掛けに富んだ創作は、ミュージシャンからの信頼も厚い。KOMIYAMA TOKYO Gでは、その世界観をさらに追求したプライベートなアート作品を展開する。
